Get ready to showcase your street photography photo competition!

We take a different approach to photo contests because we think it will be more fair this way. This is how it works:

200 NOK* for 5 images

There’s one price for everyone and for that you can submit from 1 to 5 images. This way you get multiple chances to win. This is a single-image only competition. Keep in mind that we will not review your images as a series.

You are welcome to post pictures from anywhere in the world. There is no time frame for when the photos must have been taken.

The images you upload must be 1000px on the longest edge and tagged with sRGB color space. We will email you directly if one of your images are selected as one of the finalists. At that point we will request a high resolution version of your finalist image.


*NOK is the Norwegian currency. 200 NOK equals roughly to 17 Euro, 19 USD or 15 GBP (as of early april 2024).

Timeline

  • March 29 – Submissions open.

  • May 2 – Deadline for submitting your photos.

  • April 24-May 3 - We will post many teaser posts on Instagram with entries from the competion.

  • May 6-8 – Finalists are announced on Instagram and contacted via email.

  • May 31 – Day 1 of the festival. Finalist images are on display at the festival.

  • June 1 – Day 2 of the festival. Winners are announced on stage.

Selection of finalists

The Oslo SPC board will pick the 30 finalists out of all submitted work. The board’s decision on the finalists is final can not be disputed.

Your rights

As an organization of photographers, we respect your rights to to your own work. By submitting your images, you grant Oslo SPC the right to reproduce your submitted images for the purposes of marketing the festival and the contest in 2024, online and in print. We will never reproduce your work in any other context and never share your submitted images with any other entity without your explicit permission.
