
Julie Hrudová, born in 1988 in Prague, Czech Republic, is a photographer and photo editor currently residing in
Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
She has collaborated with publications such as CBS News, The Guardian, and VICE News and her work has been showcased internationally. From 2020 to 2021, Julie contributed a weekly street photograph to the Amsterdam-based newspaper Het Parool. This project culminated in her book "Chasing Amsterdam”. Furthermore, Julie is a member of the Burn My Eye collective and editor of the Street Repeat account, focusing on similarities and repetitions within street photography.
Julie Hrudová's work is characterized by her keen observation of daily life, capturing the subtle strangeness of everyday moments and translating them into compelling visual narratives.

Absurdity of everyday life
Street photographer Julie Hrudová takes the stage to share insights into her creative journey—from her early work to the evolution of her distinctive style. She will discuss her long-term projects, including Herons and Chasing Amsterdam, as well as the widely followed Streetrepeat account, which explores visual repetition in street photography. Julie will also present her most recent work, offering a glimpse into her latest photographic explorations.
